How To Achieve Food Freedom

If you are reading this blog, you most likely have decided to go on a diet, but failed miserably!

What is so hard about eating healthy? What is the missing link?

All you need to do create a plan ahead of time, and then to follow it!

What derails you are the sneaky thoughts your brain offers causing you to feel desire, confusion, and the urge to eat.

Here is the secret to the universe.

  • Create a food plan ahead of time.

  • Follow it no matter what.

  • Feel all your feelings.

When you stop using food for your feelings, you can then begin to eat intuitively.

If you already have a great handle on your emotions, skip the food planning and only eat what your body intuitively needs.

What most people do though, is eat off plan as soon as you feel uncomfortable emotions.

What derails you are the sneaky thoughts your brain offers causing you to feel desire, confusion, and the urge to eat. 

The main reason you don't stick to your food plan is that you are unwilling to feel an emotion.

If you want to achieve food freedom, you have to make a plan and stick to it no matter what your brain tries to tell you!

Your brain will constantly try to talk you into eating off your plan.

Welcome to the list of excuses!

Your brain thinks it is keeping you safe, by telling you keep the same way of thinking. Being overweight and staying the same is safe.

Healthy and thin is a new identity and this is not considered safe to your primal brain!

If you want to stick to anything you must learn the skill of embracing the "suck".

Embrace the "I don't feel like it".

Embrace the part of life that is a complete drag.

You will have the days you don't feel like it.

You will have days that completely blow!

You will think it's hard and it should be easier.

You will have a million excellent reasons why you go off your food plan.

None of them are legit.

Embracing the suck, is the skill of trading immediate pleasure for long term well-being.

You give up what you want now for what you want most!

Most of us don't stick to the food plan because not adhering to it creates a spin for you to think about!

It feels more comfortable and normal to spin in the struggle with food.

If you don't spin, you have to face what's really going on behind your food issue.

That is the real work.
