Is there a difference between Highly Sensitive People and Mental Illness?

The question's we don't ask! (5).png

I think so...

I work with the women who think they are mental and then realize they are incredibly sensitive and or intuitive.

These are the women who cannot tolerate most drugs, are sensitive to their environment, food, clothing, chemicals, and have side effects from even over the counter medications.

How do I know this?

I know this because I've experienced being one of these women myself. I was told I was mental. I tried many of the fixes that "most" of society tries. After many failed attempts, I learned instead how to help my brain that has a complex intuition and an ability to sense things "most" people don't sense.

I didn't need to "fix" my "mental" brain.

I am quoting "most" because I have worked with so many people who share a similar story that I wonder how common it really is.

How many more people in the world have similar sensitivities, but either haven't found the help they need or are still suffering immensely?

If you struggle with vague symptoms that you've never resolved or had anxiety and depression that doesn't go away, you may be highly sensitive and not mentally ill.

And sweetheart, there is nothing wrong with being highly sensitive. It does NOT mean you are defective.

When you learn how to take care of yourself in the ways that your brain will tell you ordinary people don't, beautiful full life is on the other side.

You don't have to live with misery all the time.

Will you be able to avoid typical life issues?

Of course not! But constant suffering?... no, that is entirely avoidable.

But you have to give up the lifestyle of what "most" people live.

And that, my friend, is my expertise and I can help you find your way.

Let me take your hand and show you the way out, my friend.
